Announcement of a new Rector

Bishop Mark is delighted to announce that the position of the rector for the Hope Ginninderra Parish has been offered to and accepted by Rev Dr Margaret Wesley.

Margaret has a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Theology from the Morling Theological College in Sydney. She is currently the Priest-in-Charge at the St Paul’s Anglican Church at Ithaca-Ashgrove, Queensland, has been involved in Christian education including as an online lecturer to St Mark’s National Theological Centre, Canberra and has held other ministry positions in the Dioceses of Bendigo, Victoria and Southern Queensland.

Margaret’s induction service will be held on Thursday 11 June at St Barnabas, Charnwood. We eagerly await her coming.

Maundy Thursday Service
Please join us at St James for a Maundy Thursday Service celebrating the Last Supper with Communion on Thursday 2 April 2026 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

We will be sharing a meal together as part of the service. The meal will be provided by Ministry of Food.

Cost is $22 per person. Cost for a family is $50. You can also donate an extra meal to cover the cost for families and those in need. Please use the QR code to pay. Or, email your RSVP to office@stjames-holt.org.au by 6pm on Mon 30 March, and you can pay by card or cash on the night when you arrive.

Good Friday Service is being held at 9am Sunday 3 April St Barnabas

Good Friday Stations of the Cross in Hall Village
This is an 11am walk on Friday 3 April with our fellow Christians from the three churches in Hall village
(St Francis Xavier Church, St Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, and Wattle Park Uniting Church). We will be following the cross through Hall village,
from the carpark at the intersection of Victoria Street and the Barton Highway, down the length of Victoria Street to the memorial in the park.
The walk will be interspersed with pauses for Scripture, reflection, prayer and song. This is a family event. Children and pets are very welcome.

Easter Sunday Services will be held normal times 5 April: 8am St Michael’s and All Angels, Hall Village, 10am St Barnabas, Charnwood, 11am St Michael’s and All Angels, Hall Village
